Tempting

What if you are not alone, as you always believe? What if there is always someone who walks beside you without you even realising it? “Tempting” is an artwork which was born from these questions of a traveller who needs a companion, simply because…who doesn’t?

I laid the underpainting of a bright green to symbolise that there is always someone who supports us. Then, I added dark shades of colours in the middle to represent the loneliness that he always feels on his journey.

While the pink splashes represent both temptation and thoughts, the black lines are intended to provide strong direction for the traveller to accept the support and continue on his path. In addition, the blue marks across the canvas stand for a wise reminder and advice from his companion.

It is my hope that this piece itself serves as an amazing companion in your daily life. This life is hard, but knowing that you’ll always have a company it makes the journey easier.
