Changes

There are moments in life where we feel stuck, where we feel that we just stand still and nothing changes, no matter what we do. You’re not alone in this matter. In this regard, “Changes” was inspired and born to show that things are changing even though we think we have done a little.

Like all of my artwork, I started with underpainting colour and then layered different shapes of rectangles and squares in the middle of the canvas with curvy strokes. The purple shades and brush strokes here serve as those who think that we’re stuck and lost, which almost influences our way of thinking.

The red paint splashes represent our inner critics; meanwhile, the small lines of grey symbolise every little thing that we do to improve ourselves, which can be in any direction. In addition, the bright blue dots were meant to be our determination to keep moving. And lastly, the mixed colours of purple and black acted as passion, which drives us to our dreams.

My hope is that this art conveys to collectors the idea that we can all make a difference, no matter how seemingly insignificant our daily actions may seem. This artwork will serve as a reminder that our dreams will eventually come true as long as we work on them.
