Gift of Today

Some days feel like we always have to rush, and nothing works as we have hoped. However, some days ask us to slow down, feel the warm breeze, listen to nature, and let joy stay a little longer. This painting became my way of saying that today does not need to be perfect to be lived. It only needs to be noticed. Inspired by this, I created Gift of Today from the feeling of realising that this moment, even though it seems like a rough day, we still can live our life to the fullest.

The warm reds and oranges symbolise life, energy, gratitude, and the simple joy of being present. In addition, the green areas bring the feeling of renewal and calm, while the soft purple background adds a dreamy sense of space. I then added the yellow colour to represent sunlight breaking through and small blessings scattered across the day. The white splashes are to remind us all of the small moments that soothe the mind before we even know we need them.

The repeating red circles symbolise moments, pauses, and the slow rhythm of time. They remind us to return to the present, again and again, without rushing past it. The layered abstract shapes move like changing weather, while the patterned green edges frame the work like a safe shelter.
