There are moments in life when the heart feels tired but still refuses to give up. This painting is my reminder to you that progress can be slow and unnoticed. It speaks to the part of us that we should rest when needed, then start again. I created Keep Going from the feeling of chasing a dream when the road has no applause, only effort, determination, and another step forward.
Like the rest of my painting, I started with a background colour. You can see the deep black and dark blue background, which symbolises the weight of doubt and the unknown place. The silver lines represent resilience, a heart made steady through pressure, almost like steel catching light in the dark. I used the cool metallic tones to show courage without noise. It’s the hidden inner strength that many of us don’t realise we always have in us. It does not beg to be seen but keeps us moving.
The two-panel composition gives the artwork a sense of continuation, as though one canvas is speaking to the next. The raised silver marks move like paths, roots, and signals, showing the many turns we take while trying to go farther. The fine scratch-like patterns beneath them are meant to show our effort, hesitation, and feeling, which makes this original abstract piece ideal for collectors who love contemporary abstract art, silver abstract wall art, modern fine art, and expressionism artwork.
I sincerely wish that you will feel encouraged each time you see Keep Going. I want this artwork to remind you that you do not have to rush, and you do not have to be fearless. A bit by a bit is still a way forward. I hope this piece becomes a strong drive for you to trust the journey, honour the pause, and never quit on your dream.
