Mercy of Life

Let’s take a moment to look around ourselves. The flowers, the birds and this beautiful world. What do you see? “Mercy of Life” was born from moments of inner reflection. I intended to convey being grateful for the beauty around us through visual expressions.

The vibrant red and green strokes symbolise passion and love. Black shadows reflect obstacles that we all often encounter, which guide us to our dreams. Meanwhile, the purple floral shapes show as hope blooming despite uncertainty.

My creative process started with brush sweeps across the canvas for black underpainting. Then, I added splatters of red shades and bright green to create contrast on the canvas. I want collectors to feel the strong passion in chasing their dreams, and at the same time, to have inner peace by knowing that they are loved. The artwork invites contemplation of fragility yet celebrates life’s mercy. Its purpose is to bring love to one’s heart.
