I created Solitude from a question I have asked myself many times: can I enjoy my own company without feeling left behind? This painting grew from the problems we do not always say out loud, the need for space, the silence, and the surprise of finding peace there. I imagined myself walking through a private garden after rain, learning that solitude is not emptiness, but a place where self-love can finally breathe.
For the background, I started with the deep green and black tones, which symbolise inner growth, and the unknown parts of ourselves that only appear when we slow down. The yellow vertical marks stand like warm lights and guidance along the path, reminding me that even alone, I am not without direction. The white splashes represent movement, while the red and pink marks show desire and the thrill of feeling alive.
The three-canvas composition gives Solitude a sense of rhythm, almost like walking from one thought into the next. The layered green patterns symbolise winding roads, while the white lines connect each canvas like conversations with ourselves. As an original abstract painting, this piece is made for collectors who connect with contemporary abstract art, green abstract wall art, modern fine art, self-love artwork, and meaningful wall decor for calm, personal interiors.
It’s my hope that you will feel that it’s totally okay to be with yourself every time you see Solitude. I want this artwork to remind you that being alone can be beautiful, not as an escape, but as a return to your inner strength, full of self-love.
